Coffee, Cookies & Cards

Our volunteers at “Coffee, Cookies and Cards” are hard at work on Father’s Day cards for nursing homes today. Did you know that we donated 100 Mother’s Day cards to two nursing homes (60 to one home and 40 to another). We are card making every Wednesday until 5 pm if you’d like to get out and join in on the fun on this rainy day. And, remember, our “Coffee, Cookies and Cards” is held every Wednesday from 11 am to 5 pm.

We wanted to share a “thank you” note from one of the local nursing homes that we donated cards to last month:

Dear Stephanie,

I want to thank you and all the crew that did mother’s day cards for my residents, SO SINCERELY! Those cards were such works of art and you cannot imagine the extra joy that brought our gals. It was just such an awesome thing for you to do and I can’t thank you enough. You’ve sure got a friend in me.

Spiritual Enrichment through Creative Journaling

Kimberly is using a different, exciting format.  Using an old book, you'll be journaling and creating with different mixed media mediums.  It's very therapeutic and fun. The new format actually fits the official name of the group even better; it really is Spiritual Enrichment through Creative Journaling! You'll enjoying learning about some new mediums while contemplating some spiritual topics in a deeper, different way.
The next gathering is Tuesday, February 6, at 7pm. A new Joy Clair stamp set and Kimberly's impending mission trip has inspired the next discussion; "Declare his glory to the nations" - what does that mean? And what does that mean in a practical way?

Spiritual Enrichment through Creative Journaling meets the first and third Tuesdays of the month.
